Great Personal Budget Planning Money Saving tips
As we all know, we go through now the worst recession in decades, consumers really try to shop smart and save. Creating a personal budget is a great solution in saving some extra money. Consumers today act rationally, they all shop for what they need and less for what they want. They just run around from one store to the next trying to save some money.
Planning a personal budget makes life easier, and is a great solution. I know a lot of people who live on a budget plan and they feel much better. A budget is important for every household.
We did a survey last month on money saving tips, how it helps people survive the daily expenses. Here is a list of a few tips our consumers submitted.
Saving Tips
- "It is very important to check the local paper for coupons and savings, you might find good deals on products you need. Some retailers offer hot deals today; and there is no shame in that bargain game today." Ellen, Miami FL
- "I try to shop at stores that offer pay-over-time plan or layaway option so I can pay slowly and still get the products I want and the rights size and color too." Robin Nashville, TN
- "Shopping online is also great, You save yourself on gas, (and of course money too as You don't just buy what you see.) I buy online and try to look for free shipping too so it ends up being really cheap." Evelyn, San Francisco, CA
- "I try to purchase more basic socks and shoes rather than printed multi colors so it matches to my clothing. In that case I don't need to buy more. Example: I buy red, pink, and white socks and shoes and these colors go well to all of my baby's outfits. Years ago I used to buy 10 socks, 1 sock per an outfit, now I try to eliminate that." Brenda, Dallas Tx
- "We live in L. A., our community organized clothing swaps about 8 months ago. I have 5 children to outfit every season, and this a great low-cost way to do it. Many people including the people who do have money are part of these swaps, and they admire it too. Try it, many people will follow you, it is a smart and easy way in starting personal budget planning!" Andrea, Los Angeles, C.A.
- Cheap is Chic! I met a well off richy at Marshall's she was buying there a Cole Hann loafer shoe for $70.00 which retails normally $289.00. She was on a high that she found a bargain. I asked her "are you not embarassed to shop here?" She answered me "No, shopping at Marshall's is not below my dignity, today cheap is chic" I liked it very much so I figured I will share it with you. Nowadays, saving money is not a shame. Sara, Westwood, MA
- "We all know that Personal budget planning is not that hard if you understand and know how to do it. I try to read a lot about household saving tips, sometimes I find articles on how to save money, there is plenty out there. Just to give you a few ideas, I am a garage sale fan, I always like to find great quality items at bargain prices. If you are one of those who only go for quality merchandise at rock bottom prices try to shop at T.J. Maxx, Marshall's, Kmart and Kohl's these stores have great products at affordable prices.
