How to Choose the Best sock for your Activity
1- Climate: In cooler temperatures and wet weather, thicker and well insulated socks are reccomended. In dry and warm climates, lightweight socks with moisture wicking technologies are better choice.
2-Activity: Different activities call for different types of socks. You would not want to wear the same sock for running in hot weather as you would for hiking in snow. Sometimes the thickness of a sock can determine if it is the right choice.
Thin Socks
To avoid heat build-up during high impact activities such as running or fitness walking, choose a thinner sock with moisture wicking technologies such as LIGHTNING DRY or COOLMAX.
Thick Socks
If you are looking for shock absorbtion and cushioning in a sock, choose a sock made of thicker material such as MICRO ACRYLIC fabrics or even cotton.

Share YOUR great ideas
The best socks have more terrycloth loops and more denseity-just turn them inside out when selecting. Never double layer socks with a liner, heavier outer socks are good for blister prevention.
Synthetic socks dry more quickly.
Synthetics are best for prevention blisters and last longer, though have a higher initial cost.
For workouts and games; synthetics like polypropylene and teflon, are preferred.
Look for toe seams that don't rub.
Some people buy shoes too small, this leads to foot problems. Allow finger width between toe and top, so shoe doesn't bind. Sometime synthetics socks require bigger shoes.
Avoid cotton socks - unless you just walk around, as cotton allows blister, Cotton tend to flatten.
Try on new shoes with a thick pair of socks.
If doing a marathon, bring a change of socks.
Last but not least is that you should always check your budget before buying socks or anything else, there is a lot of competition out there so try to go reasonable if you can.
