Bpa Free Products: are now readily available from a number of online venders, and are competitively priced too!!!

Let me first tell you in short what BPA is all about. Bisphenol A (Bpa) is a chemical. Many plastic bottles, containers, and cans contain BPA. Most of the plastic products leach BPA when the plastic comes in contact with oil, especially when heating or microwaving. We don't realize how we use plastic products daily which might contain BPA. This chemical has been linked in recent studies as a cause for serious health effects especially in our babies in their first year of development. Studies have also linked BPA to interfere with fetal brain development, so be carefull in pregnancy too.

Babies are more exposed to plastic products such as baby bottles, pacifiers and you should be careful not to use them, always check for products which don't contain these chemicals. The symbol on plastic containing BPA is a little triangle with a "7" on the bottom of the product. Today most companies stopped using the chemical and use polycarbonate instead, marked by a triangle containing a "5". There are some manufacturers who use polyethylene, identified by triangles "1", "2", and "4". Both of these are not harmful, and don't leach the substances the BPA does.
You should definitely be concerned about BPA, and check your baby bottles. The risk of the chemical is greater if the contents of the bottle are heated, and babies are usually fed heated formula, so they have a greater chance to absorb the chemical. You should only use bpa chemical free products, buy them now...
Try to shop for baby bottles not with 7's, opt for the other numbers instead. The same with pacifiers, many companies today, manufacturer chemical free pacifiers and teethers. Just to mention a few: Razbaby, Natursutten, Born Free, Dr. Brown's bottles etc.
You can find these easily online, or in your local shops. Glass bottles is a great choice too, it's of course without BPA. If you ever notice a baby bottle that has a scratch, or a pacifier that's torn, rather throw it out. Although it is BPA free, you can never know when it comes to plastic products. So try not to give damaged plastic to your baby.
